KWI International Fellowships 2027

The KWI International Fellowships 2027 offers six months of residence at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) in Essen, Germany, for outstanding early-career researchers in the humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences. Fellows conduct independent research, gain access to world-class facilities, and participate in interdisciplinary seminars and events. The program provides financial support and integration into an international research community, with opportunities to collaborate and advance scholarly work.

Monthly €3,000 stipend, office space and research infrastructure, library and research support, seminar participation, integration into international research community, partial travel reimbursement, and support for events.

Applicants must hold a PhD and have up to six years of postdoctoral research experience; international researchers worldwide are eligible.
