Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS)

The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship (LExS) is a scholarship program for excellent students applying to full-time Master's programs at Leiden University. It offers financial support toward tuition fees for selected master’s study programs and is open to non-EEA/non-AELE nationals under specified conditions. The scholarship lasts for the duration of the study program and can be combined with a partial external scholarship in certain circumstances.

Tuition support toward selected Master’s programs; may require proof of sufficient funds for non-EEA applicants for visa purposes.

Candidates must apply to a Leiden University Master’s program (excluding the non-advanced LLM and certain Law Faculty MSc programs); open to non-EEA/non-AELE nationals, with some programs allowing all nationalities for advanced MSc tracks in International Relations and Diplomacy. Applicants are expected to have excellent academic records and to be among the top ~10% of graduates in their prior program.
