The Luce/ACLS Early Career Long-Term Fellowship provides research support to early-career scholars working on China-related studies across the humanities and interpretive social sciences. The fellowship enables recent PhD scholars to take dedicated research leave and focus on developing significant scholarly outputs such as books, articles, and conference papers. It is supported by the Henry Luce Foundation and administered by the American Council of Learned Societies. Stipend awards range from a minimum of $20,000 to a maximum of $45,000 for four to nine months of full-time work.

Conditions d'éligibilité
Applicants must hold a PhD in the humanities or interpretive social sciences officially conferred between January 1, 2018 and November 5, 2026. Applicants who are not US or Canadian citizens/permanent residents must hold a long-term, regular research or teaching appointment with an institution in the United States or Canada. Applicants who have obtained tenure or submitted tenure materials by the application deadline are not eligible. A working knowledge of Chinese or another language used in China studies is required.
