NRF Multilateral Research Funding Call for Researchers

The NRF Multilateral Research Funding Call for Researchers is a competitive grant programme administered by the National Research Foundation of South Africa to support international and African research collaborations. It funds interdisciplinary partnerships between researchers, universities, public research organisations and government research institutions to address social, economic, technological and environmental challenges. Successful South African consortium members may receive up to R1,500,000 for a three-year project period. The programme expects projects to deliver measurable research outcomes across African countries.

Eligible applicants include South African researchers, scientists affiliated with recognised South African public higher education institutions, researchers affiliated with recognised public research institutions, African universities, public research organisations, government research institutions and interdisciplinary research teams with capacity to manage research funding and deliver measurable research outcomes.
