DAAD Leadership for Africa Scholarship Programme 2025

The DAAD Leadership for Africa Scholarship Programme 2025 provides a fully funded opportunity for African graduates to pursue Master’s studies in Germany, with additional leadership development components. It targets two groups: highly qualified refugees residing in specified East African host countries and highly qualified graduates who are citizens of specified African countries. The programme includes a monthly stipend, health and liability insurance, language course costs, travel allowances, a yearly study allowance, and a mandatory leadership training component.

Applications are open to two groups: (1) highly qualified refugees who hold refugee status and reside in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, or Uganda, with a completed Bachelor’s degree; (2) highly qualified graduates who hold citizenship in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, or Uganda, reside in those countries, and have completed a Bachelor’s degree.
