The IEEE-USA Government Fellowship Program 2027 is a 12-month fellowship that places engineers or technology professionals inside the U.S. Congress or the U.S. Department of State to contribute technical policy expertise in national legislation and diplomacy. Fellows relocate to Washington, D.C., work full-time on policy-related tasks, and receive professional policy training and networking opportunities. The program includes pathways in Congressional offices, Engineering & Diplomacy, and a specialized Congressional Electric Grid Policy Fellowship, with a total financial support package around US$100,000.
