Jefferson Scholarship

The Jefferson Scholarship is a prestigious undergraduate award supporting up to eight semesters of full-time study at the University of Virginia. It recognizes outstanding leadership, scholarship and engaged citizenship and is available to domestic and international students. The award can cover a broad range of educational and living expenses and provides opportunities for research, leadership development, internships and international experiences.

Full tuition and required fees for up to eight semesters; on-campus accommodation support; meals and living expense support; books and academic supplies; support for research, international opportunities, internships, leadership development and career/alumni networking.

Applicants must be nominated by an eligible secondary school; international students are eligible and U.S. citizenship is not required. Students must also gain admission to the University of Virginia separately from the scholarship selection process.
