Becas Fulbright - Ministerio de Fomento (MITMA)

The Becas Fulbright - Ministerio de Fomento (MITMA) are scholarships enabling staff of Spain's Ministry of Development and its autonomous agencies to carry out studies or specific work at universities and specialised centres in the United States. The programme supports training that is relevant to the Ministry's competencies and aims to improve the technical and professional formation of participating ministry personnel. Awards include a monthly compensation tied to the length of stay and may cover tuition, academic fees, mandatory university health insurance and research project expenses up to established maxima.

Monthly financial compensation (amounts scale with months of stay), family supplements for accompanying spouse/children, payment of tuition/academic fees and mandatory university health insurance, and possible research project funding up to set maxima.

Applicants must be career civil servants of Cuerpos or Escalas Subgrupo A1 or permanent staff of Grupo Profesional 1 serving in the Ministerio de Fomento, its Autonomous Bodies, AESA or AESF; have at least two years' recognised seniority in the General State Administration by the application deadline; have excellent spoken and written English as accredited per the call; must not have been previous Fulbright beneficiaries nor have completed postgraduate studies in the USA; must not hold dual Spanish-US nationality or be or have been posted in the USA within the three years prior to the application deadline.
