International Major Entrance Scholarship

The International Major Entrance Scholarship (IMES) is a fully funded undergraduate scholarship at the University of British Columbia for international students admitted to any of UBC’s undergraduate programs. It is awarded on merit and may cover the full cost of tuition; other scholarships may also be available and renewals can extend across up to four years. The program provides automatic consideration for eligible international students admitted to UBC; no separate application is required for the IMES in addition to the university admission process.

Full or substantial tuition coverage; involvement in scholarship community and potential access to leadership programs and events.

International students admitted to any of UBC’s 43 undergraduate programs are eligible for consideration.

Applicants are considered automatically for the IMES when admitted to UBC; no separate scholarship application is required for this award.
