The Special Conference on Trade Wars, Geopolitical Fragmentation and Repercussions for Financial and Monetary Stability is an international academic conference focused on the financial and economic impacts of trade wars and geopolitical fragmentation. It brings together scholars, practitioners and academics to present papers and discuss topics such as capital flows, central banking, currency weaponisation and monetary stability. The conference is organised jointly by Brunel University London and the University of Leeds and takes place on 4-5 November 2026 at Brunel University London (Uxbridge campus).
