Amazon Film Grant 2025

The Amazon Film Grant 2025 supports a short documentary by filmmakers and journalists reporting on environmental stories in the Amazon region. It focuses on conservation, threats to the ecosystem, and communities dependent on the rainforest, with the aim of presenting character-driven storytelling. Selected applicants receive funding, mentoring, production support, and a platform to showcase their work as part of the One World Media Fellowship cohort.

Up to $5k funding, platform to showcase the work on Mongabay, Executive Producer and production support, one-to-one mentoring, travel and post-production assistance, and participation in the One World Media Fellowship programme.

Journalists and filmmakers reporting in the Amazon region, with mid-career experience and at least 3 years in their field.
