GIZ Returning Experts Programme Scholarship

The GIZ Returning Experts Programme Scholarship supports professionals from developing countries who wish to pursue further education in Germany and subsequently return to their home countries to contribute to development. The programme provides scholarships and reintegration support for eligible applicants. It is aimed at candidates from a list of specified African countries.

Tuition coverage; study grant; living stipend; return integration bonus; travel cost support; professional support during reintegration.

Open to students from the following countries: Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (DRC), Cote d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
