UK-Africa Joint PhD Scholarship Programme (BBSRC/GCRF)

The UK-Africa Joint PhD Scholarship Programme (BBSRC/GCRF) funds joint PhD projects where students split time between a UK and an African university. The programme focuses on biosciences, agriculture and food security research. It provides support for the UK portion of study and supports research costs and travel between UK and African partner institutions.

Tuition for the UK portion, stipend, research costs, travel support between UK and African partner institutions; may include additional living expenses and travel costs.

Open to students from listed African countries who are eligible to undertake PhD-level study and to enrol on the joint UK-Africa PhD programme.
