European Heritage Awards/Europa Nostra Awards 2026

The European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards identify, recognise and champion best practices in the protection and conservation of cultural heritage, including tangible, intangible and digital heritage. The scheme aims to exchange experiences across Europe and beyond, increasing visibility of heritage values and supporting professionals and communities in Europe.

Winning a European Heritage Award provides visibility across Europe, potential funding and networking opportunities; winners may receive a Grand Prix (€10,000) and/or Public Choice Award (€10,000).

Entries may be submitted from countries participating in the Culture strand of the Creative Europe Programme, i.e. EU Member States and associated third countries; entries from Council of Europe member countries not in the Culture strand are eligible for Europa Nostra Awards.
