BerGSAS DAAD Doctoral Scholarship

The DAAD BerGSAS Scholarship is a fully funded doctoral program opportunity offered through the Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS) in conjunction with DAAD. It targets international students who have a strong academic record and are pursuing doctoral studies in fields related to ancient studies, philology, theology, and related disciplines at German institutions. The program provides extensive funding and support for the duration of the doctoral studies.

Full tuition coverage, monthly stipend, comprehensive health insurance, travel and relocation support, family allowances (where applicable), housing assistance, research funding, and support for international mobility.

Open to international students with a strong academic record who have completed a master’s degree or are near completion, with proficiency in English (minimum level B2), and who have a research proposal.
