The LPI Summer Internship in the United States is a fully funded ten-week program for university students to gain hands-on experience in planetary science, conducted at the Lunar and Planetary Institute and/or NASA's Johnson Space Center. Participants are selected on merit from around the world and receive stipends, travel and housing support, and additional funds for travel associated with conference summaries. The program aims to prepare future explorers and researchers in planetary science with access to top-tier environments at NASA facilities.

University students of any nation who are pursuing studies in Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
