CNN Academy Program 2025 for Young Storytellers from the Global South

A two-phase program to train emerging journalists/storytellers from Global South countries. It starts with virtual training online (July–October 2025) and proceeds to in-person training and a simulation in Abu Dhabi (November 2025), focusing on mobile journalism and global health reporting. Participants develop storytelling skills, produce a pitch, and may work on a piece applying the training received.

Certificate of completion available upon finishing the program.

Applicants must reside and work in Global South countries, be early in their career as a content creator/journalist/storyteller, have a portfolio, be fluent in English, commit to the full program, and be willing to travel to Abu Dhabi for the simulation in November 2025.
