Walmart Associate Scholarship

The Walmart Associate Scholarship is a scholarship program that provided funding for Walmart associates pursuing a degree or certificate program. Scholars could request renewal funds within the Walmart fiscal year subject to yearly funding caps and a six-year maximum. The program required ongoing renewal steps including submission of a payment request, a current transcript showing a term GPA of 2.0 or higher, and proof of enrollment for at least three credit hours. The Walmart Foundation discontinued new applications to the associate and dependent scholarship program effective February 1, 2021, but continued to honor existing awards under renewal rules.

Payment toward tuition/education costs up to an annual funding cap for the scholar's chosen degree or certificate program; ability to renew funding subject to program rules until degree completion, funding limit, or six-year maximum.

Existing scholarship recipients (Walmart associates who were awarded the scholarship) may renew by completing an online payment request, uploading a current transcript or grade report showing a term GPA of 2.0 or higher from their most recently funded semester/term(s), and uploading proof of enrollment for at least three additional credit hours in an upcoming semester/term. Beginning with the first full Walmart Fiscal Year after being awarded, scholars must renew at least twice during each fiscal year and may continue renewing until the degree/certificate is awarded, the funding limit is reached, or the six-year time limit lapses.

Renewals are submitted via the ISTS portal: log into https://aim.applyISTS.net, locate the Walmart Associate Scholarship Payment Request form under Tuition Assistance, complete required fields, upload documentation, and submit. ISTS Program Support is available Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Central.
