KAAD Scholarships 2027

KAAD Scholarships support international students and researchers from developing and emerging countries to study in Germany, including master’s, PhD, postdoctoral research, and other qualified study or research stays. The programme provides financial support, academic guidance, seminars, non-material support, and access to KAAD's international Catholic academic network. Applications are processed through KAAD partner committees and regional structures, with emphasis on academic excellence, religious or social commitment, and plans to contribute to the home region after studies.

Financial support for studies or research, German language course support, academic seminars, spiritual and personal guidance, access to KAAD networks, and non-material educational programmes.

Applicants must come from developing or emerging countries, be under 45 years old, have German language skills (at least B2 or comparable for German-language programmes), be enrolled in a full-time course of study or research at a state or state-recognized university in Germany, demonstrate above-average academic performance, and show religious or social commitment with a willingness to engage in interreligious dialogue.
