The SNAC Writing Scholarships provide a time-bound stipend and editorial support to Sudanese scholars whose work has been disrupted by war or displacement. The programme targets staff at regional Sudanese universities, displaced Sudanese academic staff in neighbouring countries, and recently graduated Sudanese PhDs for revising their doctoral theses into journal articles for submission to international peer-reviewed journals. Each scholarship includes a 5000 Euro stipend to enable dedicated writing time and access to academic and editorial support, with the possibility to publish in SNAC-supported outlets.

Conditions d'éligibilité
Applicants must be Sudanese scholars whose academic work has been disrupted by war or displacement, affiliated with a Sudanese university or research institution, or recently graduated Sudanese PhDs with a clear plan for article development.
Candidature
Submit proposals (maximum 4 pages), CVs and supporting documents to snac@cmi.no by August 1, 2026; include 'SNAC writing scholarship' in the email heading.
