The NAS Prize in Food and Agriculture Sciences is awarded to a mid-career scientist at a U.S. institution for extraordinary contributions to agriculture or the biology of a species important to agriculture or food production. The recipient receives a medal and a $100,000 prize. Nominations for the 2027 award are accepted until October 5, 2026.
