Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) Scholarships for Non-EU Citizens

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) Scholarships for Non-EU Citizens is an annual Romanian government scholarship programme that enables talented international students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral studies in Romania. The programme is established under Government Decision no. 288/1993 and is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Operational Programme Human Capital.

Scholarship enabling enrollment and study at accredited Romanian higher education institutions for undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral programmes.

Open exclusively to citizens of non-EU countries who meet academic performance requirements (minimum average grade of 7 in the Romanian system or equivalent).
