Fully funded PhD (SDU Climate Cluster)

The Fully funded PhD (SDU Climate Cluster) is a mechanism where SDU Climate Cluster (SCC), in collaboration with external partners, may offer fully funded PhD positions. Funding can be arranged so that SCC finances half of the position and an external partner finances the other half. PhD students appointed under this scheme are affiliated with SCC, have a main supervisor at one faculty and a co-supervisor at another, and are expected to participate in SCC activities.

A fully funded PhD position, affiliation to SCC, cross-faculty supervision, and participation in SCC activities; annual progress reporting and final evaluation are required.

Applications for a fully funded PhD are made by an interdisciplinary research team (minimum two researchers) employed at SDU; the PhD student will be affiliated to SCC.

Applications are submitted by an interdisciplinary research team (minimum two SDU-employed researchers); proposals are evaluated by SCC's Strategic Grants Council and decisions communicated in writing; successful awards include an orientation meeting about finance, reporting and cooperation.
