The Canary Islands Winter School of Astrophysics is a cohort-based winter school focused on massive stars as cosmic tools, from birth to core-collapse supernovae and gravitational wave events. It includes topical lectures and hands-on sessions led by international specialists and offers participants opportunities to present research via online posters and pitch talks. The 2026 edition will be held in San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain) and will admit about 75 participants. The target audience is advanced MSc students, PhD students and early-career postdocs.
