Latin American School of Information Theory + Statistics

The Latin American School of Information Theory + Statistics is a week-long school for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers featuring short lectures, discussions and poster presentations in information theory, statistics and related fields. It will take place at the Centre for the Investigation of Mathematics (CIMAT) in Guanajuato, Mexico from 2026-08-03 to 2026-08-07. The programme includes social events and sessions on topics such as Trustworthy ML and Probability Theory. Participants may present research via posters and attend lectures by leading experts.

Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers working in information theory, statistics and related fields are encouraged to apply by submitting a poster title and brief abstract. Specific travel grants are available for students from Latin America.
