Geology workshop

The Geology workshop is a hands-on educational activity organised by the Faculty of Biology of the Universitat de València at the Burjassot Campus. It includes a mineral identification session using physical properties (colour, luster, hardness, magnetism, streak) supported by a dossier, a simple dichotomous key and specialised monitors. A micropaleontology session introduces participants to aspects of palaeontology important for understanding the distant past and provides an illustrated guide to aid identification. The workshop combines a theoretical introduction followed by practical application of the concepts learned.

Practical training in mineral identification and micropaleontology, a supporting dossier and illustrated guide, and assistance from specialised monitors.

Open to students and the general public.
