Towards Community Finance Development Accelerator 2025

The Towards Accelerator: Community Finance Development Accelerator (TOWARDS) is a capacity-building program designed to provide technical knowledge, advice, and peer support for community finance intermediaries to drive positive social and environmental impact through capital. It includes weekly skill-building sessions, tailored support, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with Canadian investors, focusing on community wealth building and equity-focused models.

Weekly virtual sessions; tailored support and mentorship; access to coaching from community finance institutions; opportunities to present investment theses to investors and receive feedback; focus on equity and community wealth-building models.

Open to existing place-based financial intermediaries (e.g., credit unions, community loan funds, land trusts, investment co-operatives, and similar entities) serving rural, remote, or northern communities, beyond ideation and ready to scale with at least one dedicated staff member.
