Dioscuri Centres of Scientific Excellence (Fifth Call)

The Dioscuri Centres of Scientific Excellence are interdisciplinary research centres to be established at Polish host institutions and led by a distinguished researcher. Up to two centres will be funded in the domains of Humanities and Social Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences and Engineering, with particular welcome for projects linking humanities/social sciences with life or physical sciences. Each centre is structured around a principal investigator and a German cooperation partner and will be supported by an international Scientific Advisory Board.

Annual funding (PLN equivalent to €300,000 p.a.), supplementary funds, infrastructure and scientific equipment support, long-term perspective for the PI, and support from an international Scientific Advisory Board.

Applications are invited from excellent researchers capable of establishing and leading an outstanding, highly visible research group; centres must be located at Polish host institutions and involve a cooperation partner affiliated with a German university or research institution.
