ALX AI Career Essentials program — Phase 2 pilot

The ALX AI Career Essentials program — Phase 2 pilot is a collaborative training and deployment initiative by ALX, Anthropic, and the Government of Rwanda that embeds the AI-powered learning companion “Chidi” into Rwanda's education system. The pilot provides hands-on experience using generative AI tools, aimed at improving teaching, lesson design, and learner support through critical-thinking–focused tutoring. Up to 2,000 educators across Rwanda, along with a select group of civil servants and participants in higher learning institutions, will take part in the pilot. Graduates receive a year of access to Claude tools such as Claude Pro and Claude Code.

Hands-on training in generative AI, access to the Chidi AI learning companion during the pilot, and one year of access to Claude tools (Claude Pro for individuals and Claude Code for developer teams) for pilot graduates.

Up to 2,000 educators across Rwanda and a select group of civil servants; the pilot will also explore deployment in higher learning institutions and provide access for learners.
