DPG-Technologietransferpreis

The DPG-Technologietransferpreis is an annual prize awarded by the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft to recognise a successful transfer of technology from research into a company. The prize is conferred jointly to the involved parties (the originating institute, the responsible transfer office and the implementing company). The award consists of a glass trophy and a certificate containing the citation and a short laudation; awardees present the transfer at a suitable DPG meeting.

Eligible for nomination are companies, research groups from universities and research institutions, and technology transfer offices. Nominations may be submitted by any person who wishes to draw attention to an outstanding technology transfer; the transfer should already have occurred and show initial market success.

Submission of a form with contact details and key data plus a maximum two-page description (in English or German). Nominations are forwarded by the DPG office; inquiries via email. Deadline is 30 June each calendar year.
