Priority Programme “Combinatorial Synergies” (SPP 2458) – Call for Proposals (second funding period)

The DFG Priority Programme “Combinatorial Synergies” (SPP 2458) is a thematic research funding programme focused on combinatorics and its applications across nine specified themes. It supports individual research projects and programme-wide activities, including workshops, Mercator Fellowships and Dive into Research formats, and encourages the integration of computational and AI-supported methods. The present call invites proposals for the second three-year funding period of the programme.

Researchers at institutions eligible for DFG funding may submit proposals; existing project holders may submit renewal proposals and new applicants must register in the DFG elan portal by 16 November 2026. (Applicants are instructed to submit proposals via the DFG elan portal.)

Submit proposals solely via the DFG elan electronic proposal processing system; renewals use the Proposal Overview/Renewal Proposal path and new projects select SPP 2458. First-time applicants must register in elan by 16 November 2026.
