Mulheres Mil

Mulheres Mil is a national programme offering free professional qualification (EPT) courses aimed at promoting productive inclusion and autonomy of women. In Alagoas the programme offers about 417 free, in-person short vocational courses (formation inicial e continuada) delivered by the Instituto Federal de Alagoas (IFAL). Courses include roles such as school food agent, organic farmer, chambermaid, cook/commis, elderly caregiver and leisure activities monitor, with specified hourly loads per course.

Free vocational training courses (specific course names and hourly loads listed); in-person instruction provided by IFAL at multiple municipalities in Alagoas.

Women aged 16 or older in situations of social vulnerability, victims of violence, and those with low or no schooling.
