Research on the Development in Russia is a competitive call for research projects aimed at improving knowledge about political, social and economic developments in Russia. The programme funds projects that contribute to Norwegian foreign and security policy decision-making and to strengthening Norwegian research capacity in this field. The call emphasises domestic political issues, Russian economic developments, regional autonomy, social conditions, human rights and related topics.
Avantages
Project funding to cover project costs, potential support for doctoral scholarships (limited to three full-time equivalents) and postdoctoral fellowships (minimum three years, maximum four years), and funding for other project expenses and subcontractors where permitted.
Conditions d'éligibilité
The Project Owner must be an approved Norwegian research organisation. The project manager must hold an approved doctoral degree or equivalent before the application deadline (or have equivalent senior qualifications in certain research positions). Collaborating partners may be approved Norwegian research organisations or equivalent foreign research organisations; Russian institutions cannot be partners or suppliers.
Candidature
The Project Owner submits the application using the Research Council of Norway's new application system; collaborative applications must be submitted by the Project Owner on behalf of partners. Specific application instructions are provided in the Research Council's application system.
