Gelati Academy Essay Competition

The Gelati Academy Essay Competition is a school-level essay contest focusing on the Gelati Academy as one of Europe's oldest educational and spiritual-intellectual centres. It is part of an annual series 'School — the Origin of Science' organised by the Academia Europaea Tbilisi Knowledge Hub to develop research skills in school pupils. Participants must analyse existing scholarly materials and submit an original essay in Georgian on specified thematic topics related to Gelati.

Winners receive diplomas and valuable gifts; all participants receive a participation certificate. Winning essays are published on the Academia Europaea Tbilisi Knowledge Hub website and social media.

Students of public and private schools in Georgia in grades IX–XII may participate.

Submit an electronic PDF of the essay to aeth@tsu.ge with the email subject 'Essay Competition - Gelati Academy'. Include cover page with competition name, essay title, participant name, school, class and contact information.
