KAUST Global Fellowships 2027

The KAUST Global Fellowship is a merit-based, funded opportunity for early-career researchers to lead their own independent research project at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, with support from a KAUST host PI. The programme targets emerging scientists and engineers addressing priority challenges in areas such as Water, Food, Energy, Health, AI, and Marine Science, particularly related to the Red Sea. Applicants proceed through staged rounds including a concept note (Stage 1) and a full proposal (Stage 2) for shortlisted candidates.

Access to KAUST laboratories, facilities, mentorship, and environment to lead a personal research project.

Early-career postdoctoral researchers who are ready to lead their own research direction with an original project.

Stage 1: submit a Concept Note between 1 September and 1 October 2026; Stage 2: shortlisted applicants develop a full proposal between 15 November 2026 and 15 January 2027.
