Umeå University Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Scholarship

The Umeå University Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Scholarship is a two-year full-time postdoctoral research position in Sweden focused on brain ageing, transposable elements and multi-omics analysis. The project is based in the Horváth Lab at the Department of Medical and Translational Biology and involves computational analysis of genomics and epigenomics data, aiming to understand age-related changes in the brain using multi-omics approaches. The position supports advanced sequencing and data analysis methods and offers opportunities to participate in international conferences and skilled training.

Opportunity to work in an international and multidisciplinary research environment with dedicated mentorship, and potential participation in national and international conferences, workshops, specialist training, journal clubs and interdisciplinary discussions.

Applicants must have completed a PhD or equivalent foreign doctoral degree by the time of the decision; priority given to those with a recent doctorate and backgrounds in bioinformatics, computer science, neuroscience, genome biology, molecular biology, biomedicine, genetics or related fields.
