The Faculty for the Future Fellowship is a competitive programme by the Schlumberger Foundation supporting women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD studies or post‑doctoral research in STEM at a host university abroad. Grants are awarded annually and are renewable subject to satisfactory progress. Fellows join a global alumnae network and are expected to return to their home country to pursue academic, research, entrepreneurial or policy roles after completion.
Avantages
Annual grant (PhD up to USD 50,000; post‑doc up to USD 40,000) covering tuition/bench fees, accommodation, living allowance, travel, visa costs and conference attendance; possible childcare grant; membership of global alumnae network and eligibility for additional grants.
Conditions d'éligibilité
Applicants must be women who are citizens of developing or emerging (low- and middle-income) countries with no dual citizenship with a developed country; be preparing for a PhD or post‑doctoral research in a STEM discipline; be enrolled in, admitted to, or have applied to a well-ranked host university/research institute abroad; hold an excellent academic record and provide strong references; demonstrate teaching interest/experience and commitment to return to their home country.
Candidature
Apply through the Schlumberger Foundation online application portal: create an account, complete personal/academic/research sections, upload transcripts, CV, research proposal, proof of admission or application to host university, evidence of teaching/outreach, provide referees and submit before the deadline. Shortlisted candidates may be interviewed.
