Whetstone Scholarship

The Whetstone Scholarship is an annual award program run by the Whetstone Family Foundation for students in Appalachian Ohio and Geauga County pursuing medicine, public health, or the arts. It provides funding toward education-related expenses such as tuition, textbooks, and mandatory college fees. Recipients are typically high school seniors planning to begin college in the upcoming fall semester and who intend to reapply for continuation in subsequent years.

High school seniors living in Ohio's Appalachian counties or Geauga County, planning to pursue a degree in medicine, public health, healthcare, or the arts, and willing to reapply in future years if continued eligibility is maintained.

Submit the official scholarship application through the Foundation's online system, including a personal essay and two letters of recommendation.
