The NRF/SARAO Graduate In-Training Programme is a hands-on structured training initiative for recent graduates to gain practical experience in radio astronomy and related disciplines. Participants work on projects across engineering, data science, software development and project management, with mentorship and exposure to cutting-edge initiatives. The programme includes opportunities to pursue further studies with financial assistance for a Master’s degree while in the programme, and potential pathways to employment within SARAO or related organizations.

Conditions d'éligibilité
South African citizens who have completed or are in the final year of specified undergraduate or honours degrees in engineering, computer science, data-related fields, or related disciplines.
Candidature
Shortlisted candidates complete a mandatory online assessment; successful applicants are placed at designated SARAO offices for a 3-year period starting 1 March 2027; offers may include support for part-time Master’s studies.
