DAAD In-Country/In-Region Programme Sub-Saharan Africa 2025

This programme provides scholarships for development-related Master’s or doctoral studies for individuals who plan to pursue a career in teaching and/or research at a higher education institution in Sub-Saharan Africa. It covers a standard scholarship period including monthly funds, study and research allowances, and tuition fees, with additional travel and health insurance where applicable for In-Region scholars.

Open to graduates and postgraduates from Sub-Saharan Africa who want to pursue Master’s or PhD studies in their home country or another Sub-Saharan African country.
