Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Regulatory Sandbox – Cohort 2

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Regulatory Sandbox – Cohort 2 is a program that allows participants to conduct live tests of innovative financial solutions under CBN oversight. It features two tracks: VASP Track for virtual asset services and Non-VASP Track for data-enabled financial services, focusing on innovation, financial inclusion, and consumer protection. Participants gain regulatory engagement, a supervised testing environment, and potential readiness for commercialization.

Open to CBN-licensed institutions developing innovative financial or payments-related solutions; institutions licensed by other financial regulators within or outside Nigeria where applicable; virtual asset service providers and startups/tech companies capable of controlled live testing.
