Gulbenkian Explore Talent (School Olympiads)

The Gulbenkian Explore Talent (School Olympiads) scholarship supports secondary school students who excelled in school olympiads in Portugal by funding enrichment activities. It provides a one-off financial award to cover approved activities such as specialized courses, educational visits, stages or purchase of pedagogical/technological materials. The programme is aimed at 10th and 11th grade students enrolled in Portuguese schools and laureates or finalists of national or international olympiads held in Portugal.

One-off €1500 allowance; financing of pedagogical or technological materials; coverage of participation fees for stages or specialized courses.

Be enrolled in secondary school (10th or 11th grade) in Portugal; be a laureate or finalist of school olympiads during the current school year; international olympiads are accepted if organized in Portugal; demonstrate financial need for the proposed enrichment activity.

Apply online through the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation portal by submitting proof of olympiad distinction, project description, budget and a motivation letter; evaluation by a foundation committee.
