University of Porto Merit Scholarships

The University of Porto Merit Scholarships are annual financial awards granted to the highest-performing students across the institution's faculties. They target students enrolled in bachelor's, integrated master's or master's programmes and reward outstanding academic performance from the previous academic year. Awards are allocated based on academic results without a formal application process. The scholarship is paid as a one-off financial support intended to assist with student living and academic expenses.

Single payment grant of approximately €3,875 to support living and academic costs.

Regularly enrolled students at the University of Porto in bachelor's, integrated master's or master's programmes with a general average equal to or greater than 16/20 and full validation of the previous year's credits; beneficiaries of DGES scholarships are generally excluded.

Selection is automatic by the university based on academic records; no formal student application is generally required and selected students are informed by the registrar's services.
