UNIL Master Excellence Scholarships

The UNIL Master Excellence Scholarships are awarded by the University of Lausanne to support outstanding graduates from foreign universities who wish to pursue a Master's degree at UNIL. Scholarships are granted for the statutory duration of the chosen Master's (one and a half or two years) conditional on satisfactory academic progress. The programme provides a monthly allowance and exemption from course registration fees, together with administrative support for international awardees.

Monthly allowance of 1,600 CHF (September–June); exemption of course registration fees (580 CHF per semester); specific administrative support for international awardees.

Applicants must hold a foreign university degree judged equivalent to a UNIL Bachelor, have excellent academic results, must not have previously been enrolled at the University of Lausanne, and must demonstrate sufficient language proficiency (French or English depending on the chosen Master).

Submit a single PDF application via the UNIL online portal including CV with photo, 1–2 page motivation letter, diplomas and transcripts, language certificate, and two recommendation letters (sent directly by referees). Applications are examined administratively then academically; decisions notified in March or April.
