Two PhD studentships are offered for research projects on Commonwealth-related themes, with a maximum value of £5,500 each. One studentship is available to PhD students registered at UK universities and the other to PhD students registered at universities in other Commonwealth countries. The award supports research in humanities and social sciences, with preference for topics related to politics, international relations, economics, international history, geography, law, development studies, and area studies.
Avantages & financement
Financial support up to £5,500 per student, distributed as £4,000 on award announcement and £1,500 on completion.
Conditions d'éligibilité
The first studentship is open to registered PhD students from UK universities; the second is open to registered PhD students from ACU member universities in Commonwealth countries other than the UK, and to Chevening and Commonwealth Scholarship alumni who are PhD students at any Commonwealth university outside the UK.
