International Excellence Scholarship (University of St Andrews)

The International Excellence Scholarship at the University of St Andrews is awarded to high‑achieving international students beginning undergraduate study. It provides a principal award that fully exempts the recipient from tuition fees and is paid annually for the normal duration of the undergraduate programme. Recipients act as Student Ambassadors and collaborate with the admissions team in outreach and events. Medicine and specific joint International Honours programmes are excluded from eligibility.

Full tuition fee exemption paid annually for the duration of the undergraduate degree; Student Ambassador role involving outreach and admissions activities.

Available exclusively for international (overseas fee status) applicants to first‑year undergraduate programmes (including direct entry to year 2); excludes institutional transfers and applicants to Medicine and certain joint International Honours programmes.

Submit an application for undergraduate admission to St Andrews; two working days later access to the My Application portal and scholarship catalogue is provided. Complete the scholarship form including a motivation statement (max 2000 characters) and submit two references (one academic, one personal) before the deadline.
