Early Market Engagement for Upgradation of Pakistan Railways Main Line-1 (Karachi–Rohri Section) Project

An early market engagement workshop hosted by the Asian Development Bank to inform the market about proposed ADB support for upgrading the Karachi–Rohri section of Pakistan Railways Main Line-1. The session seeks feedback from contractors, suppliers, technology providers, and consulting firms on market interest, technical and financial capacity, delivery approaches, contract packaging, merit criteria, risks, and potential innovations. Outcomes will inform procurement planning, market readiness, and project structuring for climate-resilient infrastructure, signalling modernization, operations improvement, and institutional strengthening.

International and domestic large-scale civil works contractors with railway experience; railway signalling, telecommunications, systems and technology contractors or suppliers; suppliers and manufacturers relevant to climate-resilient railway infrastructure; consulting firms and technical specialists with railway engineering, design review, project management, institutional strengthening, or procurement advisory experience. BOF 2026 participants, particularly contractors and private-sector entities interested in ADB-financed transport and railway procurement opportunities, are also targeted.
