ProPublica’s Emerging Reporters Program 2026-27

The ProPublica’s Emerging Reporters Program 2026-27 is a funded fellowship for aspiring journalists. It targets undergraduate students who are juniors or seniors and demonstrates financial need, providing mentoring, professional development, and a stipend plus travel support for a journalism conference. The program runs during the 2026-27 academic year, with stipends paid in two installments and opportunities for networking and career development in investigative journalism.

Total stipend of $9,000, mentorship from ProPublica journalists, professional development and training, travel and conference expenses covered, networking opportunities, and career development in journalism.

Open to undergraduate juniors or seniors during the 2026–27 academic year who are pursuing journalism and have financial need.
