ANR-DFG 2027 NLE (French-German Call for Proposals in the Natural, Life and Engineering Sciences)

The ANR-DFG 2027 NLE is a bilateral French–German call for research project proposals in the natural, life and engineering sciences. It supports joint projects between French and German research teams with project durations of up to three years. Proposals must be submitted first to the French Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), with a copy of the proposal subsequently submitted to the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Decisions are expected in October 2027 and funding will begin at the start of 2028.

Research funding for bilateral projects; project duration of up to three years; funding start at beginning of 2028.

Joint French–German research projects; the ANR requests pre-registration by the French project coordinator. The respective eligibility rules of ANR and DFG apply.

Full proposals to be submitted to the ANR (with a copy submitted to the DFG) when the full proposal submission opens.
