NASA Hubble Postdoctoral Fellowships 2027

The NASA Hubble Postdoctoral Fellowships (NHFP) provide funded postdoctoral research positions in astrophysics at U.S. host institutions. The program supports independent research and is open to researchers worldwide who have completed or will complete a PhD in astronomy, physics, or a related field around the eligibility window. For the 2027 cohort, NASA anticipates awarding up to 24 fellowships across Einstein, Hubble, and Sagan designations.

Salary support at the host institution, health insurance for the fellow (and eligible dependents), research-related expenses, and travel/performance support as needed for the project.

Early-career researchers who have completed or will complete a PhD in astronomy, physics, or a related field by the eligibility window; bachelor’s or master's degrees are not eligible.
